Season 2 Competitive Solo Tier list

If you do not agree with a placement Please submit a comment including the champion name, which tier list they should be in and a good explanation of why. If the reasoning is valid enough I will put on an edit note and move the champion.

This is my current Season 2 champion Solo Queue tier list.
ATTENTION: Do not base your champion picks solely on this tier list, this is purely for help in understanding what champions are currently doing better than others in ranked gaming.
Updates occurr after each patch and nerfs and buffs are accounted for. Champions are in no particular order in each tier.

Tier 1 is the current top picked champions which are a must in any game or else they need to be banned as they are game changers.
Tier 2 is anything that is very good in most areas but lacks slightly in a certain area of it's playstyle, e.g harass.
Tier 3 is anything which is good but is not game changing and will only be able to help a team in certain ways and will find it hard to counter certain playstyles.
Tier 4 are champions which are very rarely picked and either cannot successfully work in ranked or are currently not strong enough to be in a competitive scene.



^Tier 1: Lee Sin, Kogmaw, Nocturne, Alistair, Akali, Taric, Caitlyn, Brand, Annie, Morgana. Singed, Warwick.

^Tier 2: Nocturne, Cassiopeia, Orianna, Brand, Fiddlesticks, Gragas, Sona, Vayne, Vladimir, Warwick, Miss Fortune, Leona, Irelia, Gangplank, Amumu, Anivia, Riven, Amumu, Ezreal, Garen, Karthus, Kassadin, Nasus, Nidalee, Rammus, Shaco, Sona, Tristana, Tryndamere, Vayne, Zilean.

^Tier 3: Janna, Malzahar, Corki, Udyr, Mordekaiser, Blitzcrank, Jarvan IV, Cho'gath, Galio, Karma, Katarina, Kayle, Kennen, Leblanc, Lux, Malphite, Moakai, Master Yi, Olaf, Pantheon, Ashe, Renekton, Rumble, Shen, Sion, Soraka, Swain, Teemo, Trundle, Jax, Urgot, Veigar, Vladimir, Xin Zhao, Yorick.

^Tier 4: Evelynn, Dr Mundo, Heimerdinger, Nunu, Poppy, Ryze, Sivir, Twisted Fate, Twitch.

EDIT:
Malzahar -1 down to tier 3 - He hasn't got the same burst since his nerfs, although still good he is in no way a must pick mid anymore.
Mordekaiser -1 down to tier 3 - The nerfs have caused problems with dominance on solo lane. Still viable but there are better picks.
Taric +2 up to tier 1 - His remake has caused him to be an invaluable support, now able to sustain a push or boost a teamfight with his ultimate.
Shaco +2 up to tier 2 - His major buffs to his boxes has brought some life back into him and can get kills easily on the solo queue.
Singed +1 up to tier 1 - He is one of the best pushers and can counter typical solo tops such as Nasus. His late game will dominate and almost impossible to chase / kill.
Tristana +1 up to tier 2 - Misplaced at first, shown to be capable of carrying extremely well late game.
Vladimir -1 down to tier 3 - Has strength in holding the solo lane but not effective in mid and currently uses too much health on casting his spells.
